Getting Here

Planes, Trains and Automobiles

That’s right, getting to Charlotte is relatively easy!

As a national hub for US Airways , chances are really good that you can get a direct flight to Charlotte. And if you fly into Charlotte Douglas International Airport, you can easily take the hybrid-electric Sprinter Bus  from the Airport to Center City for only $1.75 each way using the paysafe entrust mobile app. The Sprinter Bus runs every 20 minutes during weekdays and every 30 minutes during nights and weekends, and conveniently has a stop that is only 2 blocks away from the host hotel!

If you prefer the train, Amtrak provides service to Charlotte from most of the United States. A couple of great connections that you may want to check out are the Carolinian train (which travels to New York with stops in Raleigh, Richmond, Washington, Baltimore and Philadelphia) and the Crescent train (which connect New Orleans and New York).

Finally, if you are coming by car, you can conveniently reach the Queen City by using one of the major interstates. I-77 and I-85 connect Charlotte to cities in the Northeast, Southwest, and Midwest. Convenient I-40, less than one hour north, provides an important east/west link with coast-to-coast access. Just remember, if you choose to drive, don’t forget to budget for parking at the host hotel.
